Name
Reclaiming your life after trauma with Cognitive Therapy for PTSD
Description

Cognitive Therapy for PTSD is an effective treatment for people with PTSD and Complex PTSD following a wide range of traumatic experiences. It helps people reclaim their lives, or build a new life for themselves, by addressing the key processes that maintain the sense of threat: the nature of the trauma memories; the meanings associated with these experiences; and the strategies used to cope with the threat. This talk provides highlights of this approach and how it is being used in everyday practice in the UK.
